David brings to Peras Group the experience of setting up and running businesses in a number of different countries and sectors. A graduate in Economics, with further studies at the London Business School, David applies his disciplines to a range of environments. David is a Business Consultant with a background in international business management, start-ups and innovation. David is active in Mergers and Acquisitions as the national M&A Director for CMR, a UK Consultancy with some 400 associates, also working with other groups on a number of projects throughout Europe. First an MD at 25, he has run companies of up to US$100m sales as well operating as a Board Member of larger groups.
From a sales and marketing background, David was initially trained in the competitive textiles and clothing industries, working with consumer and industrial products as MD of manufacturing and commercial businesses of up to $40 million sales in a number of developing and developed markets. He has lived and worked in North and South America, Africa, Europe and Australasia. He then returned to the UK and set up and managed a pan-European licensed product business for the American multinational vf with principal sales operations in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, production in the UK and sourcing from the Far East. David then uniquely led a team, on behalf of Institutional Investors, to throw out the incumbent directors of a FTSE listed UK Plc and then managed the group with eight operating companies back to profitability.
As a consultant David has worked with a variety of clients with businesses ranging from e-commerce to the oil sector, from engineering to geographic information, from hotels to international payment systems.
David has also led a CMR team on a successful 18 month exercise to dispose of a number of Incubator Businesses for a public sector organisation.
Outside his working life David has been instrumental in setting up Charities and a not-for-profit organisation to promote new business activity in the East Midlands.
